Rescued Food Freestore
Currently we run a ‘freestore’ on a Wednesday under the name ‘Hope Kete’. Hope Kete is open from 2pm to 4pm and provides an opportunity for good quality rescued and donated food to be passed onto community members in need.
People from all over Levin come and receive whatever is available on the day, to take home.
This community service is meant to supplement, not replace the weekly shop. We can only give out what we receive and that may mean, not everyone gets all of what is available on the day.
Pop up Shop
We also often have a ‘pop up’ shop where unopened school lunches (and other items) are available during the week, which we put out a post on Facebook when it’s available (generally afternoons).
Please follow us on FB or Instagram to keep updated.
N.B We do not accept home prepared food.
