Self-Isolation Food Support Service:
The Ministry of Social Development is providing funding to community food organisations to pack and/or deliver food parcels to support individuals and families/whānau. Hope Hub currently hold a contract for this service until Dec 31st 2022. This may be reviewed depending on the current situation regarding COVID-19.

Acceptance Criteria to use this service:
People are eligible for self-isolation food support if they meet the following criteria:
– ALL members of the household have tested positive for COVID-19 and so are required to self-isolate,( meaning COVID negative people can now leave the house to shop) and;
– They have exhausted all other avenues to access food while they are self-isolating, such as online supermarket orders, having family or friends deliver their groceries etc, and/or;
– They are unable to afford food while they are self-isolating and are not currently eligible for support from Work and Income.
Where individuals and whānau are accessing this food support regularly, we may need to make a more in-depth needs assessment. This is likely to result in you referring individuals or whānau to other social services.
